About SpamStop SERVER® Pro

SpamStop SERVER is a versatile Spam filtering tool that blocks unwanted emails before they arrive at your mail client application. SpamStop SERVER works by receiving emails from your POP3 mail server and filtering them according to your preference before sending them to your mailer's inbox. It features intelligent filtering engine to precisely select wanted and unwanted emails, and then delivers or forwards only wanted mails to your client application such as Outlook Express or designated mail address such as Gmail.
Additional SpamStop SERVER features include back-up capability for all incoming emails and forwarding functionality. When critical emails are deleted and cannot be recovered from your mail client application, you can restore them from SpamStop SERVER (unless you delete SpamStop SERVER's safe mail file). You can forward only safe mails to your designated email address. This enables you to read your business emails at your private account and/or conveniently utilize public mail service such as Gmail, Yahoo mail, etc.

How SpamStop SERVER Blocks Spam Mails

Spam mails often use fake sender addresses, irregular routing, unusual header information, etc. to hide real senders. SpamStop SERVER has filters searching for known spam mails characteristics, resulting in immediate blocking effects just after installation - unlike other anti-spam programs based on words searching. SpamStop SERVER features strong functions to validate a sender's email address, filter originating and relaying countries of emails, validate sender's mail server, etc. These features enable you to effectively block most unwanted emails even without a significant leaning curve. Furthermore, SpamStop SERVER bounces such spam mails back to senders, thus reducing the number of sending spam mails to your email address.
SpamStop SERVER works in the following sequence.
- By clicking the
SERVER icon on the system tray or at user-defined intervals, SpamStop SERVER accesses a POP mail server at your ISP or in-house system and downloads all incoming emails.
- SpamStop SERVER reads header information and body message of the emails to sort them using pre-defined filters.
- Wanted emails (Safe mails) are placed in the Safe Sender list and unwanted emails (Spam mails) are placed in the Blocked Sender list.
- Your mail client application such as Outlook Express, Windows Mail, etc. accesses the SpamStop SERVER rather than ISP or in-house mail server.
- SpamStop SERVER delivers only safe mails to your mail client application.
- SpamStop SERVER forwards only safe mails to your designated email address if you set to do so.
- Spam mails are kept in a blocked mail file. Optionally SpamStop SERVER can deliver even blocked emails with designated strings added to Subject: field.
The following is a screenshot of SpamStop SERVER's main control dialog box where you can view and manage incoming mails, both safe and spam mails as needed. It is not necessary to open such dialog box to operate SpamStop SERVER. It works background and keeps blocking spam mails.
